Louise Pederson, 74, New Richland

Louise G. Pederson, 74, passed away Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023 at the New Richland Care Center.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 11 a.m. at Bayview Freeborn Funeral Home with visitation held an hour prior. Rev. Kent Otterman will be officiating.

Louise was born Aug. 24, 1949 to Carlyle and Ernestine Johnson in Albert Lea. She grew up in Ellendale and attended school there for 12 years and was a member of North Freeborn church.

She married Clifford Pederson in September of 1975, and together they worked on a dairy farm for many years. When she wasn’t busy with the farm, she often enjoyed playing cards or going to the casino.

Louise is survived by her sister, Alice Johnson; brother Martin (Karen) Johnson; many nieces and nephews, and brother-in-law LeRoy Stitz.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Pederson; her parents, Carlyle and Ernestine Johnson; sisters, Julie Hagen, Judy Tetzloff, Nancy Stitz; and sister-in-law, Susan Johnson.

Family thanks the New Richland Care Center and St. Croix for the good care they gave her for many years. Memorials are preferred to New Richland Care Center, St. Croix Hospice or donor’s choice.
